Container On Port Inquiry Help
The “Container On Port Inquiry”
checks the On Port file to see if the equipment is currently at rest on one of
the NC Ports Terminals.
The equipment prefix and number are the only values accepted on the
prompt screen. The number can include
the check digit, but the check digit is not required to be appended to the
number.
If the equipment
is currently at rest on one of the terminals, you will be shown the on port
information for the piece of equipment.
If it is a recognized equipment id but not on the port, a message
stating that the equipment is not currently on the port will be shown. If the equipment requested has made no moves
or has not been setup to make a future move for the NC Ports, a message stating
that it is an unknown equipment id for the NC Ports will be shown.
The on port
information includes the terminal, container and/or chassis, equipment
size and type, vessel and voyage number, current on port status (import/export,
empty/load and special conditions), yard location (area row slot stack tier),
receipt date and time, and deliverable status.
In addition, if a current release exists, the date and time of the
release is displayed.
When the on port
inquiry is complete, if the number entered was a recognized number, the button
to “Get History” is available. The last
6 moves as well as when an Import/Full container was made available prior to
delivery will be shown. Historical
information includes the terminal, married equipment, transaction date,
inland carrier name and move description.
